We have employed a number of technologies in the heating sector, which have benefitted customers of Vilniaus energija and assisted our staff in their daily operation. Innovations we have implemented in right time and in right place have allowed us optimising technical, commercial and financial processes taking place in the company.
We have upgraded the grid dispatcher station, where back in 2002, it would take more than 20 minutes to communicate data to the dispatcher station. We have further installed a mobile boiler station, intended for use as a backup power source in case of any accident in the heating grid. Besides, we have invested into cogeneration power plant run on biofuel and have decreased air pollution in the capital city and now also generate green electricity.

Staff members of Vilniaus energija have also developed an interactive map of heating consumption, which displayed assessment of efficiency of both current heating season and efficiency of a few previous heating seasons.
We have also conducted a number of projects intended for upgrade of corporate activities and allowing us to cut down on prices of hot water and heating for our customers.
